Hosahalli metro station : ウィキペディア英語版 | Hosahalli metro station
Hosahalli is a Namma Metro station on the Purple Line serving Hosahalli, Bangalore. The station was opened to the public on 16 November 2015.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Bengaluru Metro zooms into the west today, Magadi Road-Mysuru Road line opens )〕 A few weeks after the station was opened BMRCL managing director Pradeep Singh Kharola stated that it would be renamed after Balagangadharanatha Swamiji. The BMRCL initially resisted the change as it followed Indian Railways' norm of naming stations after the names of the areas they were located in rather than after personalities. However, the agency agreed to make the change after coming under political pressure to do so. The move had also been opposed by local residents who felt that it was easier to identify stations by the name of a locality.〔http://www.bangaloremirror.com/bangalore/others/Political-effect-forces-BMRCL-to-name-Hosahalli-metro-stn-after-seer/articleshow/49865859.cms〕 ==References==
